چکیده

Aim: The aim of this study was to design fast dissolving tablets (FDT) the anti -psychiatric drug, Haloperidol in liquisolid forms as a way enhance its dissolution profile and anti-psychiatric effect.
Methodology: Solubility studies various solvents surfactants were conducted. solvent with high solubilizing ability tween 20 (80%), selected absorbed into carrier then coating material added other solid powder excipients, finally all compressed tablets. resulting evaluated according British Pharmacopoeia (B.P.) specifications. Pre- post-compression performed determine flow properties evaluate systems, followed by vivo through forced swimming test (FST).
Results: Pre-compression showed adequate flowability compatibility liquid excipients haloperidol. tablet (LS4) demonstrated best disintegration water absorption ratio addition satisfactory friability hardness. Attempts results thermodynamic stability acceptable for F4 formulation containing 80% Tween 20,Avicel aerosel (0.22:81.6:10.2%), respectively. revealed highest immobility time rats compared control others treated purchased halonace®.
Conclusion: Fast expressed rapid onset action enhanced effect

Formulation and Evaluation of Rofecoxib Liquisolid Tablets

The aim of our study was to improve the availability of Rofecoxib a practically insoluble non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, as a model drug by using liquisolid technique. The effect of powder substrate composition on the flowability and compressibility of liquisolid compacts were evaluated. Specifically, several liquisolid formulations, containing 25-mg Rofecoxib, which containing different...
